Julie S. Luhrsen, Esq.

Shareholder, Attorney at Law

Julie Luhrsen helps both families and the injured. Like Atticus Finch, the fictional hero of Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird, for Julie it’s about looking out for others, it’s about leveling the playing field.

For over 20 years, Julie’s been looking out for personal injury victims and their families who’ve suffered injuries due to someone else’s carelessness or wrongdoing. She’d welcome the chance to stand in your shoes and evaluate your case – confidentially and at no cost. Please contact her today if you or a loved one has been a victim of an automobile crash, motorcycle wreck, slip or trip and fall incident, homeowner negligence, or any other negligent injury or wrongful death.

"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view…until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."Atticus Finch

Julie also helps families in transition through the process of divorce and other family law matters, including child support and timesharing, adoption, etc. She prides herself on helping clients navigate through the process as amicably as possible, whenever possible. To learn more about the process and to speak with Julie, please reach out to her for a complimentary consultation.

Beyond the inspirational Atticus Finch character, Julie’s real interest in the law took root in college. Following her cum laude graduation from Miami University with a Political Science degree, Julie returned to her native Virginia and worked as a products liability litigation paralegal for a major defense firm in Richmond, Virginia. That experience confirmed her interest in the law and she went on to law school at the University of Richmond where she finished in the top 3% of her class and with cum laude honors.

In a leap of faith and with no prior military background, she served on active duty as a U.S. Army Judge Advocate for eight years and gained invaluable experience — trying cases as a criminal prosecutor and later criminal defense counsel and jumping out of “perfectly good airplanes” as a paratrooper during her five-year stint at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

After leaving the Army, she migrated to the Sarasota/Bradenton area and went into the private practice of law. It was during those days that she had the good fortune to first work with Attorney Christina Goldberg, practicing injury law and Personal Injury Protection. As law partners, they are proud of the team they’ve created and are proud to put Law Powered By Women® to work for clients from all walks of life.

Originally licensed to practice law in Virginia and later in North Carolina, Julie now focuses only on Florida cases. She is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association and the local and state Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL). She is a past member of the Board of Directors for Sarasota FAWL having previously served as its Board Chair. She served as the chair and a director on the board of Operation Warrior Resolution. She also previously served as a trustee for Forty Carrots Family Center as well as for The Out-of-Door Academy. In her spare time, she enjoys time outdoors, gardening, exercise, travel, pickleball and more, but most of all, sharing time with her family and friends.
