I was at a red light, waiting for it to change. Someone on a cell phone came up fast behind me and slammed into the back of my car.
I did what I thought I was supposed to do: call my insurance company, give them the information, and they would take care of it. But they didn’t. Trying to get help from the insurance company was a terrible experience, absolutely no help at all. It was a troublesome process trying to get the claim paid. Plus, they make it difficult getting a rental car, which my policy naturally afforded me.
After three months of getting nowhere — car damaged, I’m injured, hurting all the time — I called Christina Goldberg. I was nervous heading into our first meeting. I’d never dealt with anything like this, and I had no idea how it would all work out. Christina immediately put me at ease. We talked about what happened and made a plan. She walked me through the process, told me what to expect, and said I didn’t have to worry about finances or anything else. She would take care of it … and she did!
I came out of that first meeting feeling a huge sense of relief. Finally, someone was making me a priority. I was not going to be ignored or pushed aside. I knew Christina would fight for me.
One of the first things Christina did was contact the insurance company and get me that rental car. They balked, and she told them, ‘It’s in the policy. You have to do it.’ She also battled with them to get my car fixed — and won.
In the accident, I suffered a neck injury, and I needed to see a nerve specialist. Christina helped me find the best medical care, and she took care of all the claims and billing so I could focus on getting better.
After three months of no answers and no help, Christina had everything going in the right direction in just a few days. Without her help, I don’t know where I would be. Thank you, Christina!

I was involved in a hit and run on the interstate. There was a guy switching lanes, driving eractically. He was all over the place. He hit me from behind, which knocked my vehicle off the road. I was tossed out onto the left shoulder of the interstate. At one point, we locked eyes, looking right at each other. I could have been dying, and he didn’t care. I watched as he bounced off at least two more cars and disappeared into the distance.
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is find the courage to stand up for yourself. Julie Luhrsen helped me muster that courage. Julie asked me about my concerns, and I told her how my main worry was about my health, how I would recover long-term. I knew if I didn’t get the care I needed, the pain would only get worse. That’s not the kind of thing you expect a law firm to worry about, but that was their priority: ‘How was I feeling?’ ‘Was I OK?’ She went on to guide me and help me get the right treatment!
Julie reassured me, told me not to worry about paying for anything. That was her concern, she said, not mine.
Meanwhile, the guy who hit me would not admit it, and his insurance company was refusing to pay. Julie took up that fight with the insurance company. She refused to back down, turning over every stone. She got the 911 calls, tracked down eyewitnesses, and then she found a witness who had video footage of the accident. When the insurance company saw that, they had to admit the guy was at fault, and they stopped fighting us.
Julie’s team protected me, educated me, and fought for me. Because of her, I got the medical care I needed, the money I needed while I was out of work, and the time I needed to heal.

My car was totaled, and I ended up with a concussion. I didn’t know what to do, but I knew I should have representation for whatever came next.
I signed on with another law firm, and that didn’t go well at all. Their communication was not good. They had no time for me. I would call, and they didn’t call back. Then I found out they were doing things on my behalf without explaining, without advising me, or even asking me.
Finally, I had enough of that, so I called Christina Goldberg.
It was like night and day. Christina was direct and honest, but also very professional and kind. She understood my frustration with my situation. Before I was even her client, she took the time to explain everything to me.
She read through all my paperwork, explained what the terms meant, what was required of me and when, was was being down on my behalf, and what my responsibilities were. She gave me all that time, and that earned my trust. At that point, we went through the process of transferring my representation to Christina.
Throughout the process, Christina’s communication was excellent. Any time anything happened on my file, or if she had questions, she quickly called. I always knew what was happening. And, the day before a deposition, she brought me into her office to go through what to expect and what questions I would be asked. She helped me feel calm, prepared and confident.
Christina from excellent from that very first meeting until after the settlement was decided, absolutely phenomenal to work with. When I was nervous, she made me comfortable, and when I didn’t understand, she explained so that I would. I never had to wonder or worry, thanks to her.

The collision totaled my car and caused serious injuries to both of us.
I immediately contacted my insurance company, but they weren’t any help at all. I didn’t know what to do next, but I remembered seeing Julie Luhrsen’s office as I drove back and forth to work, so I called and made an appointment.
In our first meeting, Julie listened to our situation and my frustrations with the insurance company. She made excellent suggestions and helped me understand my options. I didn’t know the laws, what my rights were, what I needed to do, and what the deadlines were. Julie was patient, helpful and very thorough. She answered all my questions and gave me the direction I needed.
First thing, she suggested I see a doctor, because physically I wasn’t OK. Two years later, I’m still on medical leave because of my injuries. Even though I was in pain, I walked out of that first meeting feeling much more confident and comfortable, because I knew what I needed to do and what would happen next.
Julie helped me connect with doctors so I could get the right tests and treatments for my back and neck. Her recommendations were always really good, very helpful.
Looking back, I think one of the most important things she did was to get the insurance company communicating. Initially, they just weren’t getting back to me, not responding at all. Once Julie got involved, that changed. I don’t know what she did, but it really got their attention!
Julie’s communication with me was great, too. Throughout the process, I always knew what to expect, when things were happening and what I needed to do next. She even kept track of my medical bills and made sure they were getting paid.
I hope what happened to me never happens to anyone, but if it does, I would highly recommend they call Julie Luhrsen first. She’s knowledgeable, caring, and she took great care of me through the whole process.

A driver slammed into the rear of my car. They hit me going almost 70 miles per hour. I knew I was injured, but I didn’t know how badly. And my car, well … I knew I needed an attorney, but I didn’t know who to call. A friend recommended Julie Luhrsen.
Julie was amazing. She listened, answered all my questions, and made me feel like everything was going to be all right. Of course, it was a process. I had several injuries — herniated discs in my neck and back, shoulder injuries. I needed a lot of medical care. I had to see several doctors, including a spine surgeon. There will bills to pay and appointments to make, but I didn’t have to deal with any of that. Julie took care of it. She was always there, checking on me, making sure I remembered appointments, making sure I could get to them OK, or reaching out just to see how I was doing. She took care of it so I could focus on getting better.
When I think back, it was really surprising how much she took care of for me. So many things! And it was amazing to have her emotional support through this process as well. She was so comforting, so helpful, whatever I needed. When I got a medical bill in the mail, I would call her, and Julie would say, ‘Yes, I have it. We’re taking care of it.’ She was on top of everything.
Additionally, Julie was able to get me compensation for the work I missed, whether it was from my initial recovery, or, later, due to medical appointments. With Julie’s help, I never had to worry!

My car was totaled, and my back and shoulder were severely injured. Both injuries would require surgery and therapy to relieve the pain. My doctors decided I should have back surgery first, then, when I had recovered and was healthy enough, I would have the shoulder surgery.
This was a long, complicated process with a lot of different people involved, including the at-fault driver’s insurance company, my insurance company, my doctors and the hospital. It could have been so much more confusing and difficult if I didn’t have great attorneys representing me and protecting my interests.
My attorneys began by working with the at-fault driver’s insurance company to get them to take care of the medical bills related to my back, as well as my pain, suffering and ongoing treatment for other injuries. But there was a problem. The hospital wanted to take all the money from my settlemnt with the at-fault driver to cover their bills. There would have been nothing left for my ongoing treatment or other expenses.
On top of that, I developed an infection in my lungs. Because I was sick, the doctor’s wouldn’t clear me to have shoulder surgery. My shoulder was hurting so bad, and I couldn’t use my right hand. I desperately needed more care for my shoulder while we waited until I was healthy enough for my surgery, but my insurance company said they would pay. They were accusing me of procrastinating and delaying my surgery.”
I didn’t know what to do. Then Julie stepped in and took over my case. Right from the start, she was amazing — confident, comforting and reassuring. Julie gathered statements, including ones on video, from my doctors explaining why I needed but couldn’t have the surgery yet and provided them to my insurance company. Thanks to Julie, the hospital reduced their bills, and my insurance company agreed to pay for my ongoing treatment. Even though I’m still waiting to be cleared for shoulder surgery, I’m getting the help and the compensation I need to manage my pain. No matter how much the insurance company or the hospital pushed back, Julie kept fighting for me.
